Terrakotta offers modern textiles that embody the expertise of Indian craftsmanship with the assurance of quality, ethical sourcing and - most importantly - without compromises.
Like our namesake stoneware, we incorporate a heritage of artisanal technique and materials in a wide range of functional and aesthetic forms. Our products are manufactured where they are designed - nothing is lost in translation since our designers and makers work alongside each other and collaborate constantly.
Terrakotta is an expression of what we believe home textiles should be: beautifully designed, naturally sourced, and built-to-last, free from the constraints of globalized sourcing and manufacturing.
The diversity of our product range is predicated on long-term relationships with suppliers built on a foundation of trust and respect. We work in close collaboration to develop new materials and sustainable sources that reflect the needs of a constantly changing market. From Belgian flax and hand-spun silk to cashmere wool and raffia jacquards, we tap into a diversity of materials that get our creative juices going - helping us always put something fresh on the table.

We help our customers make sustainable choices by emphasizing natural materials, hand techniques, and up-cycling. We consciously incorporate elements of quilting, block printing, and hand-weaving in our designs to preserve these living art forms from one generation to the next.
All our products are made on-site at facilities that uphold the values of social accountability and environmental responsibility. These are independently certified for compliance with standards such as SA8000:2014, Sedex, and the Global Organic Textiles Standard. Our commitment to ethical sourcing extends to our vast network of suppliers spread out across India, from the remote villages of Bihar to the roaring powerhouses of Maharashtra.
